Cat scratching claws are my primary motivation
Time flies but it was almost 30 years ago when I first pounded together a Natural Scratch-type post and presented it to our two cats, Ursa Major and Star. Both are now long gone but they will always be themselves in our cherished memories.
Natural Scratch happened because these two were beginning to claw the beautiful, mahogony woodwork in the first home my wife and I purchased in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. Wauwatosa is a Native American word that means land of the fireflies. A stream ran through the city and it was bordered by marshes which attracted the lightening bugs.
This new post, which I made from white cedar, worked well for our guys and they stopped clawing the woodwork. About 14 years later, I finally decided to introduce such a post to the market, mainly to preserve wonderful cat claws.
